MOBILE PHONES SALES FALL FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2009

Mobile phones sales have fallen for the first time since 2009 as consumers like to opt expensive smart phones.Mobile phones sales declined across the globe by 1.7 percent,a research from Gartner says.Consumers shift their interests,economic conditions and worldwide competition has led to this situation.Gartner says that the sales were about 1.75 billion units in 2012.The research states that the Smartphones dominate overall market in 2013.One billion units of Smartphones are expected to be sold this year whereas mobile phones sales is expected to reach 1.9 billion units this year.


iPad and iPhone maker Apple and Samsung dominate the market.Any phone that is not a Smartphone is going to fall this year.Apple and Samsung raised their global market share to about 52 percent from 46.4 percent from the previous quarter.
